Upper Mustang Tour

Mustang lies in the altitude of 3,840 meter in the North-West part of Nepal. Annapurna and Niligiri mountain range is extended across the northern part. This beautiful land is differentiated into two parts ie. Upper mustang and lower mustang.

Every single visitor fall in love with Mustang Nepal, the land beyond the mountain.

Upper mustang is mostly popular for adventurous trekking and lower mustang is famous for natural scenery. Upper part has a trans Himalayan climate which is cool and semi-arid. It is in the rain shadow of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. One can experience the ancient Tibetan culture in upper Mustan Nepal.

Lower mustang also offer short treks and drive excursion to the visitor. Apple farms and the famous Thakali food also belongs to lower Mustang. Kali Gandagi river also follows through the lower Mustang. Saligrams, also found in the Kali Gandaki River, are black fossils, scientists call ammonites.

Our representatives will pick you up from the Tribhuvan International airport and escort you to your hotel. He will give you a short briefing on the activities for next day.
Our guide will escort you from your hotel. The guide will take you to the renowned UNESCO world heritage sites including Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, and Swayambhunath Stupa, providing you with a detailed historical value of the site. Back to the hotel, we will then gather around for a short meeting where you will be briefed about the Upper Mustang trip.
On your demand, we either take a 6 hours’ drive or a 25 minutes flight to Pokhara. Pokhara is known for its lakeside beauty and historical temples/caves. You can relax in a lakeside café or even go for a cycling around the city.
We take an early morning 20 minutes flight to Jomsom which is the headquarters of Mustang District. After resting for a bit and having our breakfast, a 6 hours’ drive takes us to Ghami Village. We visit a few Buddhist stupas, cross the Kaligandaki River and reach Ghami village to spend the night.
We start our day early and reach Lo-Manthang after a 3 hours’ drive. We stay overnight at a Lodge.
The wonderful Himalayan peaks follow us as we continue our trip and visit the renowned Monastery of Mustang Lo Gager Ghar Gompa along with king palaces. The domestic cattle caravan and Yaks make the place fascinating and the local activities of the Tibetan people give travelers and immense joy and pleasure.
As we drive back to Chhuksang we pass the same Kaligandaki River, Buddhist Stupa, and a few Tibetan Monasteries. After a 5 hour’s long drive, we reach the Chhuksang village. Overnight at a lodge.
Early morning after breakfast we head back to Jomsom. On our way back, we pass through the Jomsom market again and Kagbeni village. You can shop a few souvenirs to take back home if you wish to.
We take a 15-minute flight back to Pokhara above the majestic landscapes. We witness the rolling hills and the picturesque villages from above the clouds one last time as we come to the end of our trip.
We either fly or drive back to Kathmandu. The majestic mountain flight back to Kathmandu gives you an opportunity to witness the beauty of the country up close.
Early morning, after breakfast our representatives escort you back to the International Airport. We wish you a safe flight with a hope to see you again soon.
